Rain in Florida

So, I don't know if many of you know this but it rains practically everyday here in the Summer. Now coming from California that was really foreign to me because it's the opposite there. It rains in the winter and not summer. It's taken some getting use to. Well this last Labor Day Jared wanted to mow the lawn while the sun was still out before it began to rain. When he got out the lawn mower the sun was still shining. After Jared finished our front yard he began on the back (which had not been mowed in several weeks and looked like a jungle). Jared had not finished half the yard when it began to DOWNPOUR!!! Now in Florida, when it rains IT POURS. There is no such thing as a sprinkle or light rain, it always seems to come down in buckets. Poor Jared was determined to finish the yard because it was so overgrown and he knew I would not do it.

Now on my defense I do lots of chores around the house just like Jared but there is one chore I REFUSE to do and that's mow the lawn. If I do it once I know it will be added to my weekly tasks. I will pay someone to mow our yard before I will EVER do it myself.

After Jared finished mowing the yard he came in to shower and clean off. He was pretty upset to find out that within the few minutes of his shower it stopped raining and the sun came back out. Here are the pics of the yard after his short shower. Look, it's sunny again and already blue skys. LOL
